Memorial Weekend Love-Inn

Colton here, just have to tell you about the simply mahvelous weekend I had at Dawna Love's Inn. My foster family went away for the weekend and took me to Dawna's house. Wow! I had a blast. She has six greyhounds that get to live at her house. I got to meet and play with all of them. A couple of cute greygirls among the gang were there for me to flirt with, I'm sure the other guys weren't too happy to have the competition!
She had a big hole in her backyard filled with water. I've never seen a water bowl so large! I tried to walk in it but for some reason it was deeper than any water bowl I've tried and I sank!! My foster mom was there to help me out so I was o.k., but I didn't try that again! Dawna has a big back yard that I could mosey around in whenever I felt like it.
There were beds galore and I got to try them all during my power naps. I didn't even sleep on my own bed while I was there. Dawna let me sleep in her room at night because I'm such a special guy, I think she really liked me, you know I have to impress the ladies.
The best part of all was the food. I felt like I was on one of those cruises with the all you can eat food buffets. There was my food dish, but besides mine there were 6 others. I just had to try all of them, I couldn't help myself. I got to do this everyday I was there! Talk about gaining weight, I think I must have gained 4 or 5 pounds over the weekend. I guess I'll just have to exercise a little more to tone up that extra fat.
My foster mom picked me up Monday night and I was really happy to see her but I'm gonna miss that wonderful buffet. I'll go back to the Love-Inn anytime!

Colton Settles In

Colton has been with us for over a week now. He has settled in nicely. He was a little ragged when we got him. His coat is now getting a nice shine to it and he looks better every day.
He is learning to walk on a leash instead of pulling. He did not like stairs when he first came but now he is a pro. Last night he was so funny. He doesn't walk up stairs, he "bounds". He takes 3 or 4 stairs at a time and his legs "flail" as he runs up. He reminds me of Marmaduke, he is all legs. He is also my shadow, he follows me everywhere and will bump into me when I stop. He also a leaner. He leans up against me when I put his leash on him, letting me know he wants to go out.
Colton gets along very well with Abby. She has let him know she is the boss and he stands back like a gentleman and lets her have her way. He ignores the kitties except when they get fed, then he wants to help them eat their food. He has a love affair with his food, I wish Abby would eat like him!
Yesterday I had him outside and was talking to a neighbor. Colt walked around my neighbor wrapping his leash around him. I walked around my neighbor to untangle him but Colt decide to follow me so we went round and round my neighbor until I finally had to drop the leash and unwrap it from my neighbor. It was very funny!
Colton is a beautiful stunning greyhound who will make a wonderful pet for his forever family. Everyone remarks on how beautiful he is. His natural white collar impresses everyone.
